San Francisco Bay Research Coordination Network for Student Opportunities in Avian Research to Enhance STEM Education
We excite students about careers in STEM through the lens of ornithology.
Our mission is to help diverse learners build their skills and confidence in safe outdoor settings that highlight their connections to each other and to nature.
Our program diversifies career options for students, and diversifies environmental stewards.
Through hands-on activities with mentors and peers, students learn what they can do to help fix the biodiversity crisis, and why what they do matters.
Our team links resources from multiple universities, colleges, and NGOs in the San Francisco Bay Area
We aim to provide students with experiential and inquiry-based learning in exciting and welcoming field settings, involve them in real-life research activities to aid biodiversity conservation efforts, and enhance diversity in the STEM workforce. The world’s problems are diverse: so too must be the people and ideas that will solve them.
